A Kanye West concert in Australia made headline news for all the wrong reasons.
The concert took place Friday, September 12th in Sydney. Kanye stopped the concert and announced he would not continue until all the fans were standing. Two fans remained seated, both being visibly handicapped and unable to stand for the song.
Kanye waited until the first fan waved their prosthetic limb in the air and continued, only to stop again when he observed another fan sitting. Members of the crowd attempted to notify him the fan was wheelchair bound. It wasn’t until Kanye’s bodyguard was able to confirm the fan was in a wheelchair that he again resumed the concert. Many of his fans were dismayed at the crude behavior Kanye displayed.
The bad press is yet another strike for Kanye in his long list of bad behavior he continues to display to the public. It’s one thing to be a fan of crowd participation, to demand involvement from fans regardless of their personal situation is another.
Ignorance on part of the Kanye has once again caused controversy and negative publicity for the singer . The underlying question is how many blows can Kanye take to his career before fans become unaccepting of his antics?
