For some people seeing themselves in pictures and in the mirror are not good enough. They want to see their picture plastered everywhere possible. Even on their morning toast. The selfie craze and personalization have come together to mate and create a toaster that will toast your bread to a golden brown with your image emblazed in the center.
The mechanics and functions of the traditional toaster has not changed much over the years. It has gone from a crude open flamed toasting device to high tech heating machines that can create a piece of toast that can be toasted to the desired doneness by the operator. Although these appliances are great for toasting bread there was no special internal components to differentiate one plain toaster from another besides the amount of slices that it would toast at one time. That is until now.
Creating specific images on toasted bread is not an entirely new invention. For years the Vermont Novelty Toaster Corp. has been creating image-burning toasters of such things as sports logos. Recently they have integrated the use of technology to integrate selfies into the toasting world.
The process is simple. Upload the desired photo to the Vermont Toaster website. The engineers will then use a CNC machine to create a plate with the image on it. It is then tested for quality, ground and polished, and then sent off to a factory in China where it will be inserted into a personalized toaster for the customer to enjoy.
