FreshPet presents “Le Holiday Feast” is a short film depicting 13 dogs and one cat enjoying a sit-down dinner. It begins with the cat tapping his knife against his wine glass. They commence eating and that is when the fun begins. Each dog expresses very unique behavior.
Most are eating, but the way they’re eating is very unique. Remember they have human hands handling forks and knives. The golden retriever is cutting his food with the knife and fork, but the pit-bull is snatching the food off the fork of the dog beside him when his neighbor looks away. Most often the food is being scraped to the edge of the plate where the dog is poised with an eager mouth and steadily chewing.
As you look across the table you’ll see one dog scratching himself with the knife and fork. Another dog is eating with chop sticks and another with his hands. One is enjoying the taste of his fingers.
As the meal progresses, an Australian Sheppard and a collie that were holding hands begin to growl ominously at the other dogs. Their behaviors are hilarious. While all the eating is going on, the two German Sheppards have cleaned their plates and begin rubbing their tummies in anticipation of more. The bull dog is celebrating the completion of his meal with a drink from his silver snifter.
And the black Shetland sheepdog is coyly tucking the flatware in her sweater. To seem innocent of any wrong doing, she powders her face with her compact. They celebrate with joie de vivre. They’re having a good time eating their meals and watching each other’s plates. The only thing missing is a good belch.
