Most of us boil pasta in the old supposedly tried and true method of filling a kettle full of water and heating it to a boil and then adding your pasta once the water is hot.
There is actually an easier, faster, better method for boiling pasta and it will make better noodles. Oddly enough this new method doesn’t even require a kettle for cooking the noodles but instead is done using a frying pan.
Place the frying pan on the stove and then add the raw spaghetti noodles or other pasta into the frying pan. Pour about a quart and a half of cool water over the top of the noodles and start the burner. Cook the noodles with water.
When you make the noodles using this same method you will notice the most important change is that the noodles will not be sticky since you start with a liquid that is a cooler temperature.
The liquid that is left in the bottom of the pan from cooking your noodles will be thicker can also be used for preparing a sauce to pour over the noodles. The next time you are making spaghetti or other noodles for dinner try this new method to prepare them and prepare to be pleasantly surprised.
