Homemade shaving cream can be easy to make and you probably have most, if not all, of the few supplies required already on hand.
You will need:
½ cup shampoo
1 ½ cup conditioner
5 tablespoons lotion
3 tablespoons coconut oil
Mason jar
Soap pump
Screwdriver
A pair of pliers
Hot glue
Mix the shampoo, conditioner, and lotion all together in the Mason jar and shake it well.
You can use any brand of shampoo and conditioner. Baby lotion is a great option if you like the smell and it will turn the formula a pretty color of pink. If you don’t have coconut oil on hand you can skip that although adding it will soften your skin.
Shake all of these ingredients together until they are well mixed. If you want your shaving lotion to be thicker just add more conditioner and if you’d like it to be less thick you can add more shampoo to the mix.
Then next step will be to make the hole in the top of the jar lid for your soap pump. This is the tricky part and the hole will be sharp so be careful when doing this. Twist the screwdriver in the middle of the lid slowly until you have a decent sized hole. Then use the pliers to pull at it and make it a little bigger so you can push the pump through. Put hot glue all around the pump to keep it securely in place.
