For some reason there is still a semblance of humanity that believes animals have no emotion. Even though dogs are considered the ‘best friend’ of man, they do not even rate the idea of feelings. This video, showing two rottweilers, completely disproves the notion in a heartbreaking way. So the next time that you lose a beloved pet, don’t forget that you aren’t the only one grieving.
One family awoke one morning to find that their beloved dog, a rescue named Hank, had passed away. Despite the grief of the family, they were still floored to find out how Hank’s twin, a Rott pup named Brutus, reacted. Brutus refused to move away from Hank’s side and he laid his own head on top of Hanks in a sign of love and mourning.
Brutus and Hank’s owner admitted that Brutus had “Never whined or cried out in pain during the two years I have had him.” The owner went on to say that on the morning of Hank’s death, Brutus was clearly hurt. The owner said that you could, “Clearly see in his eyes, he is crying for his brother who had passes as his world around him just crumbled.”
This video, which should bring tears even to the most hardened cynic’s eyes, should be definable proof that dogs have emotions and feelings of their own. The fact that Brutus was so hurt by the passing of his brother should show that we need to be better to the pets that we bring into our lives.
