VIDEO: His House Is Filled With 17 Refrigerators. When I Found Out Why I Got Goosebumps

Ever since Allan Law was a young boy around the age of 11, he got the notion that he was somehow supposed to help others on this planet. Well, he was right. Allan is known as the ‘Sandwich Man’ around the Minneapolis area. And, as he grew older, his strong connection to those individuals less fortunate than himself has only strengthened over the years.

Sixteen years ago, Allan retired from his teaching career and made a solemn promise to spend his time helping those in need on the cold streets of Minneapolis. In reality and to the sheer delight of countless local homeless people, that’s exactly what happened.

Allan’s minivan bears the number ‘363’. But, counter to what most people think it represents, it doesn’t stand for the number of how many days he’s spent his time helping others. Instead, it illustrates how many days per year that most people aren’t thinking about homeless people in general. But, Allan is committed to changing that. Due to all the sandwiches stored inside 17 freezers placed throughout his living room just waiting to end up in the hands of someone who’s hungry, he’s well on his way to succeeding.

Thank goodness he has a great deal of help with his mission to feed the homeless. In fact, last year there were more than 800 civic, church, and business organizations that volunteered to help give out his sandwiches. This is an act of a truly unselfish, caring man. He is literally impacting the lives of thousands of people.

If you care about the Sandwich Man’s work and want to be a part of it, you can help get the word out about both him and his mission so he can get the recognition he so greatly deserves and further his cause.
