Rather than just giving out sandwiches or leftovers, this band of merry pranksters dressed up and served homeless people a full meal right were they were sitting.
Homelessness has become epidemic in the United States, and one way to help homeless people is by providing them food while they are out on the streets. It is estimated that over 600,000 people were homeless in America in 2012.
The actual number of people who have experienced homelessness is much higher, as those numbers are reflective of a single point in time, or a specific night. Because homeless is not usually a chronic problem, the actual number is much higher.
It is estimated that if you include all the people who are experience homelessness for a few nights a year, that there are 3.5 million homeless people each year, 1.5 million of whom are children. Regardless of the numbers it is clear from the video, that like most people the homeless are typically grateful when offered help, even when it is a small gesture such as a warm, well prepared meal.
