VIDEO: He Adds A Spoon Of Powder To A Cup Of Water. What He Ends Up Making Is AWESOME

Air fresheners are a very common thing to use in all homes to keep the air smelling good. Instead of constantly purchasing air fresheners at the store, you can make your own! Start with a measuring cup and measure one cup of water.

You can either do this over the stove or quickly in the microwave. Either bring the water to a boil on the stove or microwave the water for two minutes on high until it is boiling. You will now need a unflavored gelatine. A good one to use is, McKenzie’s Edible Gelatine. If you have a flavor, the scent of the air freshener will not be fresh at all.

Add a tablespoon of gelatine to your heated water. Do not stir it. Just leave it on top of the water for about a minute. This will allow the gelatine to absorb into the water and also soften up. Next, find a small sized glass jar around your house that you can use for your air freshener. Pour your mixture into your jar until it reaches almost to the top.

Pick a fragrance of your choice from your local store. They are very inexpensive. Rose, Violet and Rain Forest are very nice fragrances. Add two tablespoons to your mixture.

Next, add a color of your choice to the air freshener so that it will complement the furniture in your home. Put as much food coloring as you like, depending on how light or dark you want it. Stir the mixture around and lastly, add a half tablespoon of salt. Stir the mixture again. Leave the mixture to sit for 24 hours and then you will have an amazing gel air freshener. They will last for 6 weeks and only cost about $2 to make in total!
