VIDEO: He Abruptly Left Her At Dinner, But The Unbelievable Reason Why Has Me Screaming!

This past March on the occasion of White Day, a Korean holiday much like our Valentine’s Day where couples profess their love for one another, one South Korean man gave his girlfriend Soojung a marriage proposal that will not soon be forgotten.

This touching video, which was reportedly produced with a little help from the makers of Post-It notes, starts with the happy couple sitting down for a White Day dinner at a fancy restaurant located in a high-rise tower. Within seconds of arriving at their table, the boyfriend excuses himself, leaving his squeeze nervously looking at her phone, not sure quite what is going on.

Moments later, he calls her and asks her to look across the way at a gleaming glass tower. The woman is brought to tears as dozens of “Post-It Elves” set to work constructing the words “Soojung, will you marry me?” in Korean, surrounded by a giant heart and spanning three stories tall and made entirely out of the brightly colored notes.

As she begins to cry at the touching spectacle, her love returns to the table with a single Post-It with the word “OK?” and places it on the window. We do not get the pleasure of seeing her official response, but it is pretty clear from her reaction that the answer is going to be a resounding “Yes!”

The video was made in March of 2015, and while it is in Korean, the subtitles should help you follow along just fine. In the social media era, it takes a lot to create a unique marriage proposal, but this young man clearly “got the memo.”
