Anna van Keule had spent her life dreaming of becoming a famous musician. She loved music and aspired to one day perform in front of millions of people. This is a lofty dream for anyone, let alone a 13 year old girl.
Sadly, Anna passed away after a terrible bicycle accident while riding to school. Her dream of performing a musical piece in front of a large crowd seemed shattered and gone. But her father, Niek van Keule, grieve-stricken was not about to let that happen. He knew his daughter was talented, and he wanted to make sure that the world knew that as well.
He wanted his daughter to have the dream that she always wanted. He posted a video of her playing the theme song to Downton Abbey on the piano. He posted the video and hoped he would capture the attention from his audience by captioning it “My daughter Anna wanted to be famous. Now she suddenly died. Help her become famous by looking.”
It was absolutely beautiful. Not only did his daughter get to perform her talent on video, but her video was viewed by over 1.4 million people. Anna may not have been able to fulfill her dream while she was living, but her father made sure that her death was not in vain and that her legacy can continue to live on through her video.
It just goes to show that true talent can never be taken away, not even from the grave itself.
