This is the story of the amazing disappearing dog named Daisy. Daisy was abandoned in the Florida Everglades and simply did not want to be found. It wasn’t because she was vicious, it was determined that she must have been abused throughout most of her life and had forgotten how to trust and love.
A volunteer rescuer named Kelly took it upon herself to make it her mission to capture this French Mastiff. After months of trying, with no luck, Kelly finally called the organization, Hope For Paws. Hope For Paws is a nonprofit organization that rescues dogs and all other animals who are suffering on the streets and in the shelters.
They flew all the way from Los Angeles to Florida to rescue Daisy. This was a very challenging rescue for the organization because Daisy seemed to forget how to trust anyone. Once Daisy was exhausted, severely dehydrated and unable to run anymore the rescuers were finally able to rescue her when she fell asleep.
Once rescued, she was given immediate medical attention and cleaned up by veterinarians.
The volunteer rescuer, Kelly, who had been chasing her for months without success, adopted Daisy and finally was able to give her a stable home filled with an abundance of love and caring that Daisy had never experienced in the past.
