Video: Entire Church Erupts Into Uncontrollable Laughter With Choir Boy’s Actions

Church, a place known for seriousness and can sometimes have those hilarious moments whether, it be from the pastor or in this case a choir. The Catulunia boys choir performed a whole classical duet with “kitty vocals,” for their whole church congregation.

The wonderful song was executed using only one word which was “meow,” and the church members loved it. The catalunia boys choir is an all boy French choir referred to as “Les Petits Chanteurs a la Croix de Bois (PCCB)” located in Paris.

The song they sung is called Duetto buffo di due gatti. In English the song is translated to “humorous duet for two cats.” The well-known piece originally contained two sopranos which is usually performed as a concert encore.

It has also been performed with a soprano and a tenor or a soprano and a bass. The lyrics to the entire song is only a reiteration of the word “meow.” While Gioachino Rossini is usually accredited for the song, he actually did not write the piece. In 1825 a compilation was created which referred to his 1816 opera, “Otello,” which contained the duet.

In a later biography written by Hubert Hunt for Robert Lucas de Pearsall claims that Pearsall created the duet and adopted the nick name “G. Berthold” because of it. The choir boys had terrific voices that showed even in the voice of “meow.”
