VIDEO: Blind Mom Goes In For An Ultrasound, What The Doctor Does Has Me Moved To Tears

Expectant mum Tatiana is excited, as most mothers-to-be are. She dotes on her son who has yet to make his debut into the world. Except that Tatiana has something that sets her apart from most moms.

Tatiana lost her eyesight at the age of 17. When she learned that she was pregnant, she began visiting an obstetrician regularly. When the woman underwent an ultrasound, she asked the attending physician all about her developing son. The doctor would ask Tatiana what she expected the growing baby, a son that she decided to name Murilo, to look like.
Tatiana described Murilo as resembling a potato with a large nose, similar to her own. She remained unaware that her doctor had something special in store for her.

Shortly after the ultrasound was taken, the doctor whisked the image away to be scanned for 3-D printing. Minutes later, a lifelike bust of her infant son was molded and taken to her exam room. The doctor then began to ask more questions, all of which the glowing mom answered with love.

The doctor then asked Tatiana if she wished she would be able to see her son. The doctor then passed the woman the bust, which was wrapped in a blanket. Tatiana noticed that there was braille at the top of the ingot that she was handed.

“I am your son,” it read.

Tatiana moved her hands down the print-out with joy, tears streaming down her face.

What a truly magical moment for this mother-to-be!
