Harper at just one-year-old had never been out in the rain before. Although she’d seen it through the window, she’d never got to experience how it felt running through it. One day, her dad decided to change all that.
The result was posted onto YouTube a less than two minute video. It started simply enough. The dad asked Harper if she wanted to play in the rain. Then he rushed out with her in his arms, circled in the driveway for a moment, waved to the neighbor out of view, and ran back into the safety of the garage.
Immediately, Harper wanted back out in the rain. She squealed with joy, clapped, and looked out, more than ready to get wet another time. In the short video, they were shown walking in the rain four more times.
The video was posted on August 16th and has since gone viral, accumulating over 1,000,000 views in a week. With the joy so clear on baby Harper’s face, it’s not hard to see why. Some people in the comments are using the video to show that fathers care just as much as mothers do about their kids, while others are taking time out to say how cute Harper is during the short video.
