To call Donald Trump’s first week in office “a disaster” would be an ugly understatement. From dashing civil liberties, tarnishing our global reputation, and undermining anyone who puts forward actual facts… It is truly a budding regime.
Bt according to Gallup, Donald Trump has already broken the all-time record for disapproval ratings. He is the fastest president in our nation’s history to plummet into majority disapproval.
How was this achieved? Well, in the first in-office approval poll, which was taken a meager eight days after his inauguration, President Trump had already reached majority disapproval. In the poll, conducted Saturday, a stunning 51% of voting-aged citizens disapproved of his performance.
Will Jordan, Pollster, gave a brief rundown of how long it had taken other presidents to reach this astonishing feat in the national polls:
“Days until achieving MAJORITY disapproval from @Gallup
Reagan: 727
Bush I: 1336
Clinton: 573
Bush II: 1205
Obama: 936 …Trump: 8 days.”
While it’s true that all presidents, at one point or another, usually dip into majority disapproval, it is flabbergasting that it only took President Trump an astounding eight days to do it.
So, things can’t get worse from here on out! Right?
