This Loving Mom Dying from Cancer Saved the Last Dance for Her Son On His Wedding Day

Loving wife and mother of 4, Mary Ann Manning, 61, from Dublin, California lost her battle to stage IV breast cancer recently on September 8th, 2014.

Before Mary Ann passed away she had one final wish, to dance with her son on his wedding day for the traditional mother-of-the-groom and groom dance at the reception.

On September 5th, 2014 Mary Ann’s son Ryan was married and she had her final wish came true. Dressed in a beautiful sequined gown, Mary Ann collected what little strength she had left to leave her wheel chair to be able to dance to Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” with her son Ryan.

Ryan and Mary Ann’s dance became a viral hit after Mary Ann’s daughter Kristie recorded their moment together and posted it to YouTube.

At the end of the dance there was not a dry eye to be seen on the video as Mary Ann’s husband and children rushed out to help her make it safely back to her waiting wheel chair. Even though Mary Ann passed on just 3 short days after the video was taken, her family will have that memory of her beauty, will, strength, and determination forever.
