Among pedigree feline breeds, the Bengal Cat has recently developed a strong following. Bred to resemble a miniature leopard or tiger, these cats usually possess orange to sandy coats characterized by dark brown stripes and “rosette” patterns of spots, with a lighter underbelly. Their distinctive appearance, beguiling nature and regal bearing earn them many devoted fans among pet owners.
Recently the owner of one of these remarkable felines, Rani Cucicov, provided information about the Bengal Cat online. Rani lives with Thor, a beloved feline with remarkable green eyes and a sweet, commanding personality. In a photo, Thor gazed into the camera with assurance, one paw slightly extended in front of him. The handsome cat possesses sandy to organge-colored richly-textured fur with deep brown stripes, a triangular pink nose, long white whiskers and a very striking demeanor.
Rani Cucicov, a devoted pet owner, reported feeling like Thor’s “servant” to a website, noting that the cat expected humans to respond with attention to every meow. Some photos of Thor posted online reveal the cat relaxing and playing happily. In one scene, the lens catches Thor jumping upwards, attempting to retrieve a toy. In another, the cat rolls sprawls contentedly on a blanketed couch, the epitome of feline ease and laziness.
Around the world for thousands of years, cats have appealed to human beings. The magnificent Bengal Cat, a beautiful breed of domestic feline, will likely continue to develop a loyal following of cat fans!
