It is hard not to love Rice Krispies treats. They are so easy to make, and they taste wonderful as well. They are a simple treat that you can enjoy anytime. If you like these, you should definitely try making cookies and cream marshmallow bars; this recipe simply replaces the Rice Krispies with Oreos.
All you need for this recipe is: a 500 gram bag of Oreos, a 400 gram bag of marshmallows, and 1/4 cup of butter. Start off by melting the butter and marshmallows together. Do this in 30 second intervals, stirring after each 30 seconds until the mixture is completely melted. While it is melting, crush up our Oreos.
When the mixture is ready, add in the crushed Oreos and mix everything completely. After this, take a 8 or 9 inch square pan and line it with plastic wrap that is also buttered. Put the mixture into the pan, and then press it down until it is even and flat (it is suggested that you wear a glove that is covered with butter for this step). Then, allow it to cool down (it will be warm because you just melted the marshmallows and butter), and once it is cool, you can serve and enjoy.
As you can see, this recipe is very easy. Anyone can do this, no matter how much culinary skill you have. If you love Rice Krispies treats and are a chocolate lover, you may actually love these even more, so try it!
