Barack Obama is hated by many Americans throughout the country, but it seems that members of the far Right have taken things to a whole new level. A recent Facebook page called “Arrest, Convict, and Hang OBAMA” has caught the attention of thousands of people. The Facebook page brings to light the usual conspiracies that Obama is an undercover Muslim who plans on destroying America. Several other startling claims were made in the post as well. The post paints the picture that Obama has destroyed our military on purpose in order to leave America vulnerable to a terrorist attack.
Th author of “Arrest, Convict, and Hang OBAMA” believes that Michelle Obama is a big part of the problem too. In the post, Michelle Obama is painted as a race baiting tyrannical evil woman. I’m wondering how many Americans truly believe these outlandish allegations?
The startling thing about this entire story is the fact that the Facebook hasn’t been removed or flagged by the social media site.
Barack Obama has done many things wrong in the eyes of several people, but wishing for his death is a bit extreme. It’s not like Obama is comparable to Hitler or Stalin. “Arrest, Convict, and Hang OBAMA” was written by a crazy Right Wing extremist. Posts like this should be removed from social media sites where children are active members. However, even if Obama is a terrible human being like the Facebook post claims, it seems that he still believes in free speech.
