When a dog shakes a chew toy under normal circumstances, it’s cute but not always worth sharing with the internet. When a 5-month-old baby enters the mix, however, that might be something worth recording.
That happened to be the case when Freyja, a 2-year-old German Shepherd, approached the infant with a green chew toy. Freyja let the baby touch the toy for a while, but then would shake her head, causing the infant to giggle. Whenever the baby would stop, Freyja would shake the toy again, restarting the baby’s giggles.
It’s also clear that Freyja is being incredibly careful around the child. She’s very lightly putting the toy in front of the infant, stepping away to shake it, and then returning so the baby can touch it again. It’s even clear that her jaw isn’t clenched as tight as it could be.
The father, Daniel Colvin, decided to film the moment and post it to Facebook. Along with posting it to his personal page, he also shared it with a Facebook group called The German Shepherd Dog Community.
The clip is less than a minute long and ass accumulated over 40,000 views since it was originally posted on June 24th.
