Animal abuse is something that is abhorrently common in todays world. Many of the pet survivors of abuse, however, are resilient and able to rebuild their lives, and learn to trust and love humans again – even after someone had committed such a nasty atrocity against them.
Odysseus is one of these survivors. Rescuers found him tied to a fence at a church in Fulton County, Georgia. He weighed a meager 28 pounds when they got to him, and because of the severity of how underweight he was, his bones were protruding through his skin at almost every angle.
Rescuers were appalled by the physical state of Odysseus, and couldn’t determine what kind of breed he was. Luckily, they have been able to find donations to give this lucky pup the help he needed and he’s finally gained back some of that much needed weight. The volunteers that are closest to Odysseus have been unable to clearly identify what breed he is, but believe he is a boxer mix.
He’s also been said to be one of the sweetest dogs this group of volunteers has ever found. However, more donations are needed to keep this dog’s recovery on the right track. Angels Among Us has set up a donation page to help Odysseus and other rescued animals in the Fulton County, Georgia area.
