It isn’t uncommon for people to have parts of their residences that seem completely useless to them — at least at first. Common examples of extra spaces include additional closets, balconies, sheds, basements and attics. When people have these spaces, they often throw random items into them or leave them completely empty on a permanent basis.
Some people, however, use their imaginations and put these spaces to the best possible uses. Trolollies is a Reddit commenter who, with his partner, chose to devote an entire balcony to their beloved dog. The pair created a sturdy picket fence using lightweight timber. They then painted it. They put artificial grass and a doghouse inside of their brand new balcony enclosure.
To introduce some vibrant color, they planted a few gorgeous African daisies. Finally, they made a welcoming “Franklin” sign by painting plywood and using single 3D letters. They even threw a couple of their adorable dog’s most beloved toys into the fenced off area. Needless to say, their cute pooch couldn’t be more elated by his cute and highly functional setup. He’s surely the envy of all of the other dogs and cats in the neighborhood. Not many animals can say they have their own individualized playgrounds inside of their homes, after all.
Franklin’s owners put a lot of time and heart into making this playground for their sweet pet. The act was a true labor of love. It also was extremely resourceful. They no longer have to deal with the wasted space of their balcony.
