The Reason Pat Robertson Claims Why Robin Williams Killed Himself Is So Idiotic I’m Dumbfounded

Perennially popular Christian televangelist Pat Robertson has issued what he believes is the final verdict on the life and recent death by suicide of internationally famous movie star and comedian Robin Williams. According to Robertson, Williams’ suicide was inevitable (and, in so many words) deserved because he was a “heathen” who worshiped at the altar of money and fame rather than at the feet of Jesus.

Robertson aired his views in a recent episode of his “700 Club” television show. While he is certainly not one to give precious air time to such paltry incidents as the death of a godless heathen under normal circumstances, it can only be surmised that Robertson felt a special need (or satisfaction) in commenting upon the death of an internationally famous celebrity like Williams.

In any case, Robertson took what can only be described as an unusually lengthy and detailed look at the facts of the case, embellishing them with his special brand of “charismatic Christian” talking points.

In the end, Robertson concluded that the fate embraced by Williams was due to being a “heathen” and “Hollywood liberal” who was devoid of any meaningful spiritual existence, especially the kind endorsed by televangelists and other spokespersons of Christ.

The video is sure to stir up controversy among liberals, and sure to keep friends and foes of the millionaire televangelists talking about Robertson. In that sense, the video marks another publicity coup for the aged and outspoken professional Christian millionaire. While Robertson is not particularly subtle or sensitive, he is media savvy to the end.
