Looking as if they just stepped off the school bus, three children named Ayoub, Merel, and Ieke assume their positions on the stage for their performance in the Netherlands on the third season of the Voice Kids. What they produced was so powerful, they commanded the room for their entire performance, stole the hearts of their fans, and created some new ones.
From the beginning of this ballad, each kid commanded his or her own parts of the song. The individual singers were confident and powerful, but not so powerful that they overtook the stage from one another. They each sang in succession to each other, with one voice blending completely and seamlessly with the next. As they hit the high notes, there was no wavering in the sound or pitch of their voices. All notes were right on, and their young voices were simply angelic sounding.
This performance was not only beautiful, but it was moving as well. The audience was a sea of complete silence. There was a small but short-lived spattering of applause when each singer began his or her initial parts, and periodically throughout the performance. However, the excitement died quickly each time so that the audience could hear the angelic voices that were coming from these young adults. Each of the singers gave their all to impress the judges.
This performance by these three talented teens was so incredibly moving and heartfelt, that even the professional judges were brought to tears witnessing these talented youngsters.
