Starbucks Denies a Cop the Use of Its Restroom. But It Is The Reason Why That Has Millions Furious

Most people around the world know that Police Officers often drink a lot of coffee. Places like Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts have had a long standing relationship with cops for many years.

However, it seems that Sergeant Leighthardt of the Philadelphia police department was recently denied the ability to use the restroom at a local Starbucks. The reason, because Sergeant Leighthardt was not a paying customer. The Starbucks employee informed the Sergeant that only paying customers may use the facility’s bathroom.

Sergeant Leighthardt uploaded his version of the story on Facebook, and thousands of people have since replied to the post. Sergeant Leighthardt stated that he asked the female Starbucks employee very nicely if he could use the bathroom. The employee then told him to use a bathroom down the street.

Sergeant Leighthardt looked around the coffee shop, and he saw many patrons just staring at him. It seems that police officers are looked down upon in this day and age.

When was the last time that you heard of a Police Officer getting denied the privilege to use the bathroom? Sergeant Leighthardt said that he had been called to remove loiters from that same Starbucks in the past. However, it seems highly unlikely that he will return and help the coffee shop with future loitering problems.

Sergeant Leighthardt’s story is another clear example of Police Officer’s being disrespected. The relationship between citizens and law enforcement officers needs to change quickly! I have a feeling that Sergeant Leighthardt will be drinking a lot of Dunkin Donuts coffee in the near future.
