A single mother was on the verge of being evicted from her home. Alishia Poss has five children, works a full-time job with long hours and tries to provide for her family. However, with only one income, it’s sometimes hard to make ends meet. She knew that she had to do something to provide for her children, so she reached out to those who might be able to help.
Operation Blessing is an organization that started working with a local grocery in the town where Poss lives. She talked to someone at the organization, and they decided to help her as much as they could.
When she got to the grocery store, members from the group gave her an abundance of food, such as vegetables and meats. They also had a few treats for the children. Without having the worry of buying groceries, Poss was able to save a little more of her money from her job so that she could pay her bills.
She is now able to spend time with her children because of the generosity of a group of people who are willing to help. Poss has a better job that pays more money, which has helped her remain established in her home.
