Kanye West has a habit of storming the stage at music award events in order to push his love for Beyonce, basically disrespecting her and the rest of the music industry. He did it once when Taylor Swift won an award over Beyonce, but the backlash from that did not seem to matter to him.
He did it again with singer Beck at a more recent awards show. People have had enough this time. Shirley Manson, Garbage band member, took to social networking sites to tell Kanye just what she thinks of his little speech. She told Kanye in an open letter that he has done nothing but disrespect the music industry, his own talents and the talents of every other artist alive.
She further stated that Beck is an awesome musician who deserved the award that he got. Beyonce does not have a problem lauding the work of other artists. She knows that there are many talented artists in the world and that you cannot win them all. It makes you wonder what she thinks of Kanye’s continual use of her name in order to further his own presence in the music world.
People around the United States agree with Manson’s assessment of West’s behavior. Many people have even called for him to be banned from attending any more awards shows in the future. It appears that may be just what happens as a result of his actions.

It is YOU who is so busy disrespecting artistry.
You disrespect your own remarkable talents and more importantly you disrespect the talent, hard work and tenacity of all artists when you go so rudely and savagely after such an accomplished and humble artist like BECK.
You make yourself look small and petty and spoilt.
In attempting to reduce the importance of one great talent over another, you make a mockery of all musicians and music from every genre, including your own.
Grow up and stop throwing your toys around.
You are making yourself look like a complete t***.
Ps.I am pretty certain Beyonce doesn’t need you fighting any battles on her account. Seems like she’s got everything covered perfectly well on her own.”
