Two babies miraculously survive after being struck by a drunk driver’s vehicle. As a mother strolled through a park in Crimea with her twins, a car charged through the grass out of nowhere, striking the babies’ stroller and sending the twins through the air. The incident happened too fast for the mother to get out of the way in time. One of the babies landed behind the wheel just as the driver was about to reverse his crashed vehicle. Only after hearing the mother’s panic-stricken screams did he stop, preventing an even worse tragedy.
The frantic and distraught mother was seen tending to her babies, one of whom was bleeding from an injury above her eye.
After the incident, police arrived as the mother was comforting and crying over her babies. Paramedics rushed the twins to a nearby hospital, where they were thankfully found to be in stable condition.
The driver, who failed to show a driver’s license, claimed to have lost control of the car in an attempt to avoid another vehicle on the road, but his blood alcohol concentration was found to be ten times over the legal limit. He is now facing legal charges for drunk driving and endangering the lives of others.
