She Was Born Without A Womb. And No One Thought She’d Be Able To Give Birth. Then THIS Happened

Vincent Stenberg just celebrated his first birthday. His birth is being called a miracle because his mother, Mary, was born without a womb. Mary struggled to accept the fact that she could not have children. However, her life changed for the better when she decided to participate in a project at Gothenberg University, which is located in Sweden.

She received a womb transplant. The womb was donated by 61 year-old Ewa Rosen, who was a friend of the family. Mary conceived shortly after receiving the womb. However, the pregnancy turned out to be a difficult one. Mary had to make several trips to the doctor and received hormone treatments. She also developed preeclampsia, which is a life-threatening medical condition.

Mary had to deliver her son two months early via C-section because of the preeclampsia. Although Vincent was two months early, he was healthy. He is also growing and developing normally.

Mary says that she will forever be grateful to Ewa. Ewa is a mother to two sons, and she also has four grandchildren. She has called Vincent’s birth a miracle. Mary does not plan to have any more children and had the womb removed because doctors told her that another pregnancy would be risky. However, she says that she does not regret anything that she went through to have her son.
