She Uses Her Eyelids As A Canvas To Create Dazzling Works Of Art!

For many people, makeup is just a way to emphasize attractive features and hide flaws. However, some people see makeup as a chance to create truly beautiful artwork. One makeup artist from Israel, Tal Peleg, is wowing people with her incredible artwork created from eyeshadow. Using a mixture of makeup, paint, glitter, and rhinestones, Peleg transforms eyelids into works of art.

Peleg finds inspiration for her artwork in pop culture, and she references beloved childhood favorites, popular movies, and various other forms of media. Not only do her creations call attention to her beautiful blue eyes, but Peleg also manages to squeeze an incredible amount of detail onto a very small area of the face. Her miniature artworks are so detailed that it is necessary to view the up close to see all of the beautiful details that Peleg includes.

For example, Peleg creates a Wizard of Oz themed look that features a view of Dorothy holding Toto as she looks towards the Emerald City that is framed between her eyebrow and upper lashline. The individual sparkling towers of the city can be viewed on the horizon, and the meadow between Dorothy and the city is dotted with beautiful flowers. In just a centimeter of space, Peleg manages to depict the individual hairs of Dorothy’s pigtails and the fluffy fur of Toto. The lower lashline of her eye is lined with a rainbow of colors shifting from red to orange to yellow to green to blue, which references the classic song “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from the movie.

Not all of Peleg’s looks are as magical and ethereal as her Wizard of Oz eyeshadow. She also has a makeup look that is an homage to the horror film classic, The Shining. THe creepy eyeshadow shows every tiny detail of the spooky twins’ ruffled blue dresses, that are depicted in the same shade of blue as Peleg’s eye. Splashes of red are dotted along the edge to imitate blood, and the phrase “REDRUM” is written in an arch above her eye. Spiky black false eyelashes lining the top of her eye and deep red eyelashes along the bottom complete the creepy look.

In addition to eyeshadow looks based on books and movies, Peleg also creates more whimsical looks that are very aesthetically pleasing. Her candy themed look involves both eyeshadow and eyebrow makeup in bright, pastel hues. The makeup look starts with a thin line of hot pink eyeliner along the top edge of a black winged liner. Her eyelid is then colored in yummy yellow, green, and teal hues up until the crease, which deepens to a purplish shade. The space from the crease to the eyebrow is filled with tiny candies, cakes, and ice cream sundaes that are all painted in minuscule perfection. Her eyebrow is a fun pastel lilac shade that is also used to coat her lower eyelashes.

These examples are just a few of Peleg’s many amazing works of art that use the eye and eyebrow as a canvas. They may not be practical for everyday wear, but they are still incredibly beautiful to look at. Check out her Instagram to see if she has used any of your favorite books or movies as inspiration for eyeshadow.
