She Started Out Making A Traditional Cinnamon Rolls. But What It Ends Up Being? 10x Better!

Have you ever made cinnamon rolls from scratch? Most people haven’t because it can be time and labor intensive. If you want to eat something scrumptious without wasting your whole weekend in the kitchen, cinnamon roll cake is a yummy alternative.

Here’s a list of what you need for this wonderful treat:

  • 2 and 3/4 cups of flour
  • 3 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 yeast packet
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 3 tbsp of butter
  • 1 large egg

Start by mixing the milk, water, and butter. Heat this mixture up so that the butter is melted, and then add it to the flour, sugar, salt, yeast, and egg. Sprinkle some extra flour on a clean surface, and knead your dough on this. After being rolled into a ball, the dough will need to rise for thirty minutes.

Next mix together the filling ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp of butter
  • 1.5 tbsp of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of sugar

You’ll spread your dough on the bottom of a 15″x12″ pan and sprinkle the filling on top. Cut the dough into two inch strips. This is when the fun begins! Start with one strip and roll it around itself in the center of your pan. Continue to do this with each strip until you’ve created your large cinnamon roll.

Let this rise for about 60-90 minutes before placing in an oven preheated to 350. Cook for 30-35 minutes. All that’s left is adding some frosting or glaze to the top after it cools. Then it’s time for you and your family or friends to enjoy the easiest, most delicious breakfast treat!
