One woman had no idea that her life was going to change for the better after she paid for a man’s groceries. The woman’s name is Tracy Washal. She noticed that a man in Aldi USA had left his wallet.
That is why she decided to pay for his groceries. After Tracy paid for the man’s groceries, she gave the man her name, told him “Merry Christmas” and left the store.
A few days after the incident, the man tracked down Tracy. He found out that she worked at Piedmont Cancer Institute. He donated $10,000 to the organization.
Representatives from the Piedmont Foundation contacted Tracey and told her about the donation. The man did not want to reveal his identity. He had donated to the cancer institute in the past.
Tracy was interviewed by ABC News. She stated that she was hoping that the man would pay it forward. However, he did not pay it forward in the way that she expected.
Tracy hopes that people will be reminded that the little things are what matter the most. She also hopes that people will think twice about doing small things for someone. The money that was donated will go towards the Dana G. Smith Cancer Assistance Endowment.
