There a plenty of different ways to cook eggs. These include scrambled, fried, and even poached eggs. Unfortunately, poached eggs are notoriously difficult to prepare. It takes a certain amount of luck and skill to get these types of eggs just right.
As a result, many people resort to the typical fried egg. This doesn’t have to be! A new internet video is showing the world how anyone can make poached eggs with a few tools you already have lying around your kitchen.
You will need a coffee mug and a roll of plastic wrap. The trick is simple. Put a pot of water on to boil. Next, put a little oil inside of the coffee mug. Take a generous square of plastic wrap. Place it over the top of the coffee mug. Crack the egg over the plastic wrap. Let the egg drop inside.
The raw egg should slide down easily inside of the plastic wrap to the bottom of the coffee mug. Carefully lift the plastic wrap out of the mug. Tie the plastic wrap shut to keep the egg inside. If you did it right, you should have a perfect little pouch made out of plastic wrap that is holding the raw egg. Take the pouch and place it in the boiling water. That’s it! You can watch the egg get to its perfect poached form through the plastic wrap. You no longer have to guess when the egg is done! Take the pouch out of the water, slice open the wrap, and enjoy!
