Secret Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe Released By Granddaughter After 73 YEARS!

A peanut butter cookie recipe might not sound like much, but when it’s from 1942, it’s something special. A granddaughter, Janet Hall of Wisconsin, shared an heirloom family recipe so that others might enjoy the delicious treats that her grandmother was so notorious for baking.

Janet’s mother asked Grandma Hall for several recipes to be written down so that they could be passed along to family line. The  grandmother chose to write down only one: her renowned peanut butter cookie recipe.

You can find the recipe here. This recipe makes three dozen cookies, though the ingredients can easily be adjusted to make more or less. The directions even come complete with instructions on how to create fun textures on the cookies as they bake.

Once the cookies are out of the oven and cooled, they can be enjoyed by family, friends, neighbors, and lovers. This is a recipe that can be passed through the family from grandmother to granddaughter, one generation to the next.
