Just recently, it was noted by radio the radio host Rush Limbaugh that Obama wants Americans to get Ebola as Payback for Slavery.
In other words, Obama has not been responsive to restricting inward travel to the United States from countries that are noteworthy and infamous for their insurgencies of the infectious Ebola. Limbaugh argues that Obama can be seen acting as unresponsive to the outbreak of the disease as a way to speaking out against slavery that has perpetuated in the United States for such a great deal of time.
Limbaugh also defends that America is responsible for the spread of Ebola in Liberia because the nation “was established by freed American slaves.” Limbaugh was recording having responded similarly to a caller who contacted him in regard to his accusations of Obama and his lack of initiative in preventing further outbreaks of the deadly ebola.
It is a tough situation. Both Limbaugh and Obama understand the difficulties of the disease and are more or less stuck between a rock and a hard place. Republicans are urging Obama to take action and restrict or deny travel from other countries into the United States. However, by restricting or permanently closing off travel from international countries, there would not be any international doctors or medical personnel that could come to the United States to help. By limiting travel, Americans would not be able to seek treatment in other countries and the international economies would suffer as a result.
In conclusion, Obama is currently sending troops and medical supplies to help in countries such as Liberia. The outbreak of Ebola is a complicated situation, and it will be interesting to see how it escalate even more so with the accusation by Limbaugh in regard to Obama and his “payback” plan.
