Robin Williams’ Final Movie Trailer Shows His Brilliant Performance In ‘Boulevard’

The late comedian Robin Williams, who committed suicide in August 2014, is a main part of the movie trailer for his last starring role in the upcoming film, “Boulevard,” which is set to open on July 10.

In the movie, Williams, who was 63 at the time of his death, portrays a 60-year-old man named Nolan Mack, whose marriage has become distant and whose life is lonely. Mack goes out on a drive through Nashville streets and meets a gay prostitute named Leo, who is able to show him how to live his dreams.

Along the way, Mack’s marriage becomes worse as he reassesses his life. Leo eventually rejects him, but Mack tries to protect him from individuals looking to hurt him. Mack is tortured by the fact that he loves his wife, but not the way that led them to get married in the first place. In addition, his lack of ambition is noted by his boss at the local bank, who notes that he’s been there for a quarter century.

The independent film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, and was likened to Williams’ other dramatic roles including in film like One Hour Hour Photo and Good Will Hunting, the latter role winning him an Academy Award in 1997.

Given the issues that led Williams to take his own life, the film is a poignant depiction of a man whose dreams of the best life possible are untapped until he reaches the age of 60.
