You never know what you may find under your floorboards. Literally. A couple in Phoenix had an amazing discovery while rebuilding their kitchen: a safe filled with all types of goodies! Sarm and her husband Eddie said what they found in the safe made “time stand still.”
When the couple first moved into their home, they found a code for a safe behind the medicine cabinet. They thought nothing of it beside a relic of the previous owner. Then, when demolishing their kitchen, they found a safe under the island. The two tried the code, and after several tries, got it to open.
They found a little over $51,000, a rare bottle of bourbon that hadn’t been opened, a bingo card with numbers circled, and a book with an interesting inscription. The book, “A Guide for the Perplexed” by E. F. Shumacher, also had a photo of a strange man inside the front cover. The back of the photo has a note written from Vincent to Alan, where the former urges the later to check the passages he underlined. Eddie feels the bingo card and underlined passages allude to another safe.
On page 11 of the book, there is a highlighted phrase that speaks to “fruitful results” under the picture of a tree. A phrase on the photo’s backside reads, “Where one tree becomes three.” Eddie thinks this “three-headed tree” is the location of another treasure.
Although the safe came with an added mystery, Sarm and Eddie undoubtedly welcomed the $50,000. They also noted their love of bourbon. What the couple dislikes, however, is treasure-hunting. A job they were forced to take up.
