Greg Zubiak woke up one morning and decided that he wanted to go moose hunting. What began as an ordinary day, soon took a turn for the unusual. While walking through the woods, Zubiak came upon a cardboard box.
This box happened to be full of puppies that had recently been abandoned. Zubiak took pictures of how he found the puppies which show them to be tightly packed together.
After further inspection, Zubiak discovered there were a total of 20 puppies in the box. It was a cold day and Zubiak knew that the puppies could not survive in the elements for long by themselves, so he did the first thing he thought of. Zubiak carried the puppies to his truck and took them home to keep them from freezing.
All of the puppies appeared to be under 6 weeks old. After Zubiak saved the puppies, he later turned them over to the Battlefords Humane Society where they were inspected and are now being protected and cared for. The puppies are a mixture of colors ranging from light colored to black puppies.
The Battlefords Humane Society is currently seeking good homes for all of the puppies and would like to spread the word to anyone who would like to adopt one.
