Former Vice President candidate Sarah Palin has become embroiled in yet another animal cruelty controversy to add to her long list of gaffes surrounding her self proclaimed love of both animals and hunting.
The former Alaskan politician stepped back into the media spotlight after a New Years Day post to Facebook appeared to show her six year old son using the family’s dog as a step stool within the kitchen. Followers of Palin on Facebook showed their anger and disgust with a series of comments condemning the reality TV star for not stepping in and putting an end to the practice.
One user stated the form Governor of Alaska should have stopped Trig standing on the dog, not taken a picture and posted it to Facebook. This is just the latest in a series of high profile mistakes made by the Fox News political analyst, who famously failed to shoot a caribou on her ill fated reality TV show.
Palin took six shots to actually take down the animal before ignoring the advice of the expert hunter to check the animal was dead, instead glancing down and declaring the animal deceased. During her time as Alaska governor, Palin also famously pardoned a turkey on Thanksgiving standing outside a slaughterhouse where lines of the birds were being pushed towards their deaths.
