When you open a piece of candy for your child, you expect to find a sweet treat. One mother in Kansas opened a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup for her son.
She thought it would be the simple chocolate and peanut butter treat that her son had enjoyed before. Both were in for a huge surprise when she saw what was in the candy.
The cup was in the shape of a pumpkin. It was a Halloween treat, and inside was a small needle. The mother is horrified because she doesn’t know where the needle came from or what was on the needle before it was placed in the candy.
She didn’t give the candy to her son after she saw the needle, and now she checks his candy before giving it to him. The mother did take a bite of the candy before she gave it to her child. This is when she discovered the needle.
The needle caught in her teeth when she realized what was inside the peanut butter. It didn’t cause any injuries, but the needle was definitely something that was not wanted in a treat meant to be fun for a holiday. You never know what you will find when you open a package.
