Phil Robertson Of Duck Dynasty Makes Statement About STDs That Will Leave You Saying HUH?!

West Monroe, Louisiana – Duck Dynasty’s Phil “Papa” Robertson doubles as an occasional preacher at his local church. He recently gave a sermon where he extoled the virtues of what he termed was “Biblically safe sex”.

Ultimately, implicit in his views are the fact that if two people get married and are both virgins, the likelihood of either of them contracting a venereal disease is virtually zero. However, that is not quite how the provincially minded Hill Billy phrased it.

In Robertson’s sermon, he stated that if two people, a man and a woman, get married and neither has a sexually transmitted disease, then they will not contract STDs such as syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, or AIDS with the latter illness being a reference to his anti-homosexual views he claims are rooted in Biblical passages.

However, earlier this year, a researcher by the name of Elizabeth Boskey explained that some STDs can take years to spread between sexual partners. If two people get together and share a monogamous relationship, one partner may yet be infected from their prior sexual partners and not know it. STDs are not necessarily passed between partners during a single intimate encounter.

Robertson went on to accuse the political Left of spreading their immorality around the nation and the world. He said this behavior is the root of sexually transmitted diseases. At the same time, he acknowledged that he has been “sexually immoral” during his life and likewise accused his listeners of such behavior. However, he did not say that his immorality nor that of the congregation has contributed to the spread of STDs.
