Doris is an elderly lady, known amongst her neighbors for her kindness. Every school day, she walks to the end of her driveway and blows kisses to the kids who ride Bus #46 in her area. She has been doing this for five years and has not missed a single day.
Kathy is Doris’s neighbor and has watched her every day as Doris blows kisses to the children. She has stated that the children always look forward to seeing Doris’s smiling face at the end of every school day. They even fondly refer to Doris as “grandma”.
Kathy decided to do something special for Doris on her birthday. She let Stacy, the bus driver, know that Doris was celebrating her 88th birthday. The bus stopped outside of Doris’s home, and the children sang happy birthday to her. The students blew kisses at Doris. They also told Doris that they loved her, and they wished her many more happy birthdays.
Kathy recorded the kids singing and blowing kisses to Doris on camera. Doris was clearly touched by the kindness of the children. She could not think of a better birthday gift.The video has been posted on Facebook and viewed over 37,000 times. Many people are touched by the video.
