In the bottom of the 7th inning in a close 4 to 7 game, all the attention should’ve been on the intense moment building between the TCU Horned Frogs and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. Instead, one little boy ended up having a hilarious interaction with the ESPN cameras that caused not only the sports anchors, but everyone at home to burst out with laughter.
Noticing that the live cameras panned in his direction, the young boy quickly jumps to action by striking a pose while staring straight at the camera lens. This reaction sends the first announcer into a fit of laughter, causing the focus to turn from the close baseball game to an epic stare down between the kid and the cameras.
As the boy continues his antics with the cameras, the announcers completely abandon talking about the game and are more concerned about the status of the stare down, asking “How long can he go?”, while laughing and cheering him on.
As it turns out, the young boy would have another minute of entertainment for the cameras- which included a shifty little shoulder shimmy followed by a couple eyebrow dances. The best part though comes towards the end, as the camera widens its view to show both the boy and his mom, who seems oblivious to the situation while she is sitting right next to him. Our star helps his mom out by giving comedic looks back and fourth between her and the ESPN live cameras, and she gives out a big laugh once she realizes what she is a part of.
