When Sean French was driving on Interstate 71 in Ohio, he noticed something that prompted him to take action. He saw a blue Ford focus drive past him in the emergency lane. French said that the driver was probably going 80 miles per hour. He noticed that there was a child in the backseat, and he knew that he had to take action.
French followed the vehicle for about three miles. The Ford Focus then drove into a grassy median. French managed to block the vehicle so that the driver could not get back onto the interstate. He got out of his car, jumped through the Ford Focus’s passenger window, put the vehicle in park and turned the car off.
French stated that he felt obliged to help because he is a father himself. He said that if it was his child, then he would have wanted somebody to do whatever it took to keep his child safe. Troy Morsch was the driver of the Ford Focus. He was arrested for impaired driving and taken to jail. He was also charged with child endangerment and operating a vehicle without control.
Troy has been released from jail. French caught the entire ordeal on camera.
