The belief in reincarnation holds a long history in cultures of the far east. Reincarnation is a concept of a soul returning to a new body through rebirth and taking on new life situations and lessons not acquired from the previous incarnation.
A young boy named Ryan began discussing with his mother several memories that he attributed to an alleged past life more than 50 years prior to his current life. The amazement that the child’s mother felt regarding his story began to worry her. With a religious affiliation as a Christian Baptist, Ryan’s mother decided to keep the story of her son’s reincarnation claims away from those who may not understand its concept or believe in its validity.
Ryan’s mother Cyndi explained that while flipping through pages of a book on Hollywood, her son pointed to a picture of a man whom he believed to have been in his past life.
Ryan was seen by a child psychologist, Dr. Jim Tucker, who reviewed the alleged case of reincarnation and past life memories, determined the five year old boy to be sincere in his claims of having lived before.
The remarkable recollection of Ryan’s account of his past life was validated after research was conducted on the life of the man he claimed to have been, including his description of specific pieces of information from the man’s personal life.
