He Pulls Plug On Dying Wife In Coma – Then She Whispers, ‘I’m A Fighter’

Lyndee Pellettiere-Swapp was found unconscious by her son one day. She was taken to the hospital, doctors letting the family know that she was in a coma. Lyndee was in a coma for 12 days. Doctors finally told the family that there wasn’t any hope for recovery and that it would be best to pull the plug on the life support machines.

Lyndee’s husband and children made the difficult decision to take her off of life support because she had told them that she wanted to be an organ donor, and they wanted to honor her wishes. Everyone told her good-bye.

Lyndee remembers everything that was said, even when doctors told the family what would happen to her body once the machines were shut off. Her husband told her that she needed to fight. She couldn’t move or talk, but she gently whispered to her husband “I’m a fighter.” The family knew then that there was still hope and that there was still strength in Lyndee to fight.

She made a slow but steady recovery and is now living with her family again. Her family knows that just because someone is in a coma doesn’t mean that the person can’t hear what goes on in the room, and that person needs to hear that everyone cares.
