Glue Fabric To A Normal Cookie Sheet, Then Hang It Up. But why? This Is BRILLIANT!

It can be difficult to keep all your makeup organized in one place. Tubes of lipstick and mascara as well as eye shadows, blush and foundation can end up cluttering your medicine cabinet or the top of your dresser. With a few simple materials found at any craft or dollar store, you can turn a simple tray into a magnetic makeup board.

Materials:
Hot glue and hot glue gun
Fabric of your choice at least two inches wider than the sheet
Magnetized tape or small magnets
Cookie sheet

When purchasing your materials, you might be wondering how to get the magnets. There are a few ways to do this. You can go to the craft store and purchase a roll of magnetic tape, which is relatively inexpensive, or you can recycle magnets you already have in your home.

The first step is to ensure that the tray is made of a material that allows the magnets to stick. You can check quickly at the store before purchase. The material you choose can be a fun stripe or a more elegant material depending on where you end up putting the board.

Once you have your materials assembled in your work area, use a hot glue gun to lay a strip of glue around the interior edge of the sheet. You can do one side at a time, so that the glue doesn’t cool before you can place the material. Make sure the surface of the material is smoothed towards the edges. You don’t want wrinkles, bumps or air pockets on the surface.

The material should be overlapping the edge of the sheet. Flip the sheet over and glue the remaining material to the sides, so it’s completely covered and none of the metal is visible.

While the glue is drying, gather all your makeup and cut magnets to fit the back side of them. There should be enough magnet added to the back to ensure that the pieces stick. With a tape strip, you can cut them to any size you desire. Glue the magnet to the back of your makeup.

Once all the glue has dried, you can easily add your makeup to this board and store it upright in any place that you have extra vertical space. It’s a great way to keep your makeup organized out of the medicine cabinet and off the top of the dresser.

You can install this makeup board on the inside door of a cabinet to keep the shelves clean. It can be stored on the back of a door in a dorm room too. There is no limit to where you can place this beautiful, handmade organizer. Don’t forget to clean out your old makeups before making this organizer. It’s important to throw out expired cosmetics and start fresh occasionally too.
