The 2015 Gerber baby photo search is officially over. The judges of the photo search examined over 170,000 photos. Their mission was to find the cutest baby, and they have succeeded. While every baby is cute in their own way, a Gerber baby must truly stand out from all the rest.
Isla, a 7-month-old baby girl, was voted as the winner. Aside from being absolutely adorable, Isla is special for another reason. She is the first Asian-American baby to win the award.
While her heritage wasn’t the reason that she won the award, many people feel that it’s about time that Gerber chose a multi-cultural child to be the face of their company. With that being said, Isla has all of the features that make a baby cute. Her chubby cheeks and playful hair caught the eyes of the judges, and they just couldn’t get Isla out of their minds.
Winning the Gerber baby photo search is great for a number of different reasons. Not only does Isla get to be featured in Gerber baby commercials, but her parents were rewarded as well. Each year, the parents of the Gerber baby winner are given a $50,000 check and $1,500 worth of Gerber baby products. Isla’s parents stated that they will be paying off some debt, and then they will put away the rest of the money for Isla’s future.
