The majority of individuals only express their political views on Facebook or by shouting at the TV when presidential debates take place. Those with a stronger interest in politics might engage in debates on political forums and online discussion groups. But one group of individuals sent out a message to Donald Trump that was very public and done in a highly creative fashion.
During the Rose Parade, skywriters wrote various messages in the sky, all of them highly critical of Trump. Parade spectators looking up could see slogans like “Trump is a fascist dictator” and “America is great! Trump is disgusting.” The perfectly blue sky made them all quite visible to anyone that looks up. Early media reports didn’t shed any light on the identity of the people behind the messages. However, a firm called Air Sign, which specializes in aerial advertising, acknowledged on their Twitter feed that they’re the ones who wrote the anti-Trump messages in the sky.
Plenty of people who were attending the parade saw the skywriting and took pictures of it. Pictures of the messages were quickly shared all over social media, with some calling them the best thing that happened at the parade. On the other hand, a few Trump supporters have expressed their displeasure with them, with one claiming that the messages in the sky are “libelous” and calling for a boycott of the company that wrote them.
